WebYep is a compact Content Management System that focuses on building simple editable websites quickly and easily. It doesn't require hours of training nor is it full of modules and plug-ins you simply won't use with other paid systems. This CMS is perfect for creating a website that can have a custom design to then be handed off to a client who can then update content at their leisure. This will both involve the client, in a positive way, into tailoring content that fits their business needs as well as a great way to get familiar with a CMS before attempting to use a larger one.

I've posted the last episode, episode four, in the Freeway Basics series entitled "The Kitchen Sink." This screencast covers a broad range of topics including important topics that were not covered in the previous three episodes. I discuss how to locate some features hidden in the menus as well as places to go to if you're having trouble publishing your website. Unique page outputs, organizational tips, how to use text flow, heck it truly is the kitchen sink.

In this screencast you'll learn how build a website using an inline box-model style construction. In this screencast you'll learn how to use the MooTools Slimbox Action and the ScriptyLightbox Action in Freeway. Both actions have their own unique advantages and disadvantages, but overall they can display visual items on your website in a unique way. Both actions are free to download from actionsforge.com and make sure to use the search box (at the top right of actionsforge.com) to easily locate them. After downloading these two actions it's important to note that they have different installation types and Slimbox requires a different approach, so make sure to read the documentation.

I use the JQuery Cycle plug-in quite a few times on this website and if you're unfamiliar with JQuery then it's time to do some explaining. JQuery is a JavaScript library and it is capable of doing some really next-generation effects on the web. On this site is little uses of JQuery and I believe that I can easily add some nice bells and whistles if I spent some time understanding both the language and the coding. I like to think of this screencast as the Pandora's Box to new ways to present content online.

This free screencast will teach you how to create a graphic carousel that will manually or automatically rotate through a series of images using either a button set or a series of ordered tabs. This is super easy to setup and will showcase a scrolling effect that will wow users and guests on your website. Carousels are typically used to show images and / or content that's general idea and focus need to stay on one page and by using this you'll be able to achieve just that.
